The Garage Club

A club for identities, not engine sizes.

The Garage Club is a membership for people who see cars as mood, memory and identity, not just horsepower.

Members begin by choosing a name for their car, which we turn into personalised vinyls. From there, they can complete our breed quiz to uncover their Garage Club identity and add matching breed badges that reflect who they are on the road.

What makes The Garage Club different

  • Personality-led vinyls & decals
  • 25 Garage Club identity breeds
  • Classic-car silhouettes & curated soundtracks

What is The Garage Club?

The Garage Club is a membership-based, identity-first car culture project.

Members take short, playful quizzes to discover their Garage Club breed — archetypes such as The Builder, The Flaunt, The Dreamer, or The Host — and receive a physical welcome pack with vinyls and a printed profile that reflects their aesthetic.

It’s part vinyl studio, part moodboard, part car club.

Member-led by design.

Why The Garage Club exists

The Garage Club exists to offer a gentler, more expressive way to belong in car culture — especially for people who have never fully recognised themselves in traditional car clubs.

Instead of asking “What do you drive?” we start with:

“How do you move through the world?”

Your answers shape your breed identity, colour palette, classic-car references and road-trip soundtrack, which we then translate into physical vinyls and badges for your car, laptop or workspace.

How it works

From quiz to vinyl on your glass

1. Discover your breed
Members complete short, playful quizzes — from core identity breeds to Road Trip Soundtrack profiles — to surface their dominant archetypes.

2. Receive your Member’s Welcome Pack
After joining, members can purchase the Official Garage Club Member’s Welcome Pack — a curated starter set designed to make your membership visible from day one.

Each pack includes a high-gsm printed welcome letter, a personalised car name vinyl, your Garage Club breed badge, the official Garage Club mark, and a complete vinyl application set so everything goes on cleanly and confidently.

Optional safety or celebration vinyls, such as learner plates or baby on board, can be added depending on your needs.

3. Build your visible identity
Over time, The Garage Club will grow into a shared space where members can tell and comment on each other’s car-naming stories, take part in playful personality quizzes and games, attend relaxed club meet-ups and events, and access limited-run member vinyls designed around shared moods and moments.

Who it’s for

Members who feel like this…

The Garage Club is designed for anyone who:

  • Sees their car as an extension of their personality or identity

  • Enjoys a non-traditional take on car culture

  • Enjoys collecting design-led objects such as breed badges and classic-car silhouettes, alongside the aesthetics and stories that give them meaning.

  • Prefers subtle, design-led vinyls over loud branding or boy-racer graphics

  • Is neurodivergent, introverted, or simply prefers slower, kinder spaces

Whether you’re a lifelong car enthusiast or have just passed your test, the emphasis is on how you feel, not how fast you go.

Values

What drives us (besides petrol and electrons)

  • Identity first, car second

  • Everyone is welcome

  • Kindness over competition

  • Neurodivergent-friendly processes

  • Slow, sustainable growth

  • Small-batch, quality vinyl

  • Respect for classic-car heritage

  • Playful, not performative

  • Clear, accessible language

  • Member-led experimentation

Inclusion & accessibility

A deliberately inclusive garage

The Garage Club is being shaped as a space where queer, trans, non-binary, disabled, neurodivergent and otherwise under-represented drivers can see themselves clearly — without having to ask permission.

We are building with:

  • Queer-aligned and fluid breeds that avoid rigid gender or stereotype coding

  • Straightforward language and structured processes intended to be friendlier to autistic and neurodivergent members

  • Low-pressure membership — you can enjoy the vinyls and stories without any expectation to attend events or perform socially

If something on the site isn’t accessible to you — visually, practically or emotionally — we actively encourage members to let us know so we can iterate together.

Our story

Built from the feeling of not quite fitting in

The Garage Club grew out of noticing how many people love cars, road trips and visual aesthetics — but never quite felt at home in traditional, performance-driven car spaces.

The club leans into the softer side of car culture: memory, nostalgia, queer joy, late-night playlists and slow drives to nowhere in particular.

Rather than building another status-driven club, The Garage Club treats membership as a creative project members co-author over time. The breed system, vinyl designs and welcome packs are all intentionally shaped to reflect real, messy, modern identities.
